CO.MO.ALT. ITALIA was born in 1996 as a small family business selling electric auto spare parts, in particular starters and alternators, either new or rebuilt. In just one year, thanks to its groundbreaking sales strategy, the company was able to conquer the Italian automotive market, becoming an official distributor for Bosch, Valeo and Magneti Marelli, besides its own products. In 1998, its predominance over the market was confirmed by Bosch itself, that qualified the company as an Authorised Centre for Guaranteed Remanufactured Parts and by ranking as first among several existing Bosch distributors. CO.MO.ALT. ITALIA currently features more than 4.500 affiliated national customers, among which mechanical garages, car electrical repair garages and auto spare parts shops. Since 1998, the company is active in distributing secondary raw materials for the automotive market all over Europe (Italy of course but also France, Germany and Denmark).

Since 2003, the company is engaged in a project of territorial expansion all over the country, starting from a widespread distribution in the Lazio region and consisting in the buyout of new warehouses and association liaisons with new local suppliers, on a national level.

The secret of success
At the time the company was founded, Italy was feeling the need of good quality materials that, due to the economical crisis that stroke the country, could be affordable on a general level. The solution to this was hidden in the remanufactured parts. These regenerated components would have to be as good as the new ones and thence, be submitted to accurate testing through reliable diagnostics machinery and then, be awarded with a certificate of compliance from the main manufacturers in the car industry. Of course, just this would never be enough because, without the proper technical information drawn from long direct experience, one product alone could never achieve to satisfy the customer properly. The optimization of these dynamics could not be achieved without an efficient delivery service defined by accuracy and speediness in every situation. Besides all these elements, over the years CO.MO.ALT. ITALIA has kept on developing new services, aiming to stay even closer to the customers and satisfy them in every occasion. For example the warranty, which is valid for 2 years from the date of purchase - if the product is intended for personal use - and 1 year - if the product is destined to professional or commercial use - with no mileage restrictions, entitles, whenever possible, to the replacement of the malfunctioning part, everywhere in the country and completely free of charge. Or, the CD Rom catalogue is available for all customers using PC. In order to fulfill the technological needs of our times, CO.MO.ALT. ITALIA hosts an internal IT department dedicated to applied management solutions and software development. The ultimate novelty developed by the Business Logistics Team regards the periodic prices check, avoiding market imbalances and allowing the company to be fair towards their customers’ needs and stay competitive in the market.
